Public Archery Tournament 2025

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, the time had come: The Beusterhütte in Diekholzen became the scene of a spectacle that made the hearts of all archers and spectators beat faster. The Vereinten Banner e.V. invited everyone to a medieval archery tournament!

The tournament was shot in a knockout system, with the distance and difficulty increasing with each round, in the spirit of historical archery. Modern aids such as sights, stabilizers, and carbon arrows were of course not allowed – only skill, concentration, and a good eye counted here!

The tension rose with every hit: arrows whizzed through the air, the audience held their breath, and cheers erupted when a shot hit the bullseye. Particularly impressive was the discipline of the young archers, who showed with astonishing precision that they were in no way inferior to the adults.

After exciting duels and many thrilling moments, the winners were finally determined. The first three places were rewarded with prizes and – of course – eternal fame and glory. Benni won the victory wreath, Mika bravely followed him in second place, and Hauke took third place with a steady hand.

At the end of the tournament, the smell of barbecue invited everyone to linger, and plans for the next tournament were already being made.

Thus ended a day full of sporting passion, community, and genuine medieval flair.
We would like to thank all participants, helpers, and spectators for this successful day—and we are already looking forward to the next archery tournament at the Beusterhütte!
