On July 24, 2021, we took children back to the Middle Ages as part of a vacation passport event. There, the children could experience medieval crafts at hands-on stations. Holes were drilled with a dreule, woven or rings for a chain mail were made with a worm board.
At our throwing castle and catapult, the children put their marksmanship to the test.
The highlight for the knights and princesses, however, was our new tower, which we took over from the “Theater für Niedersachsen”. Many of the children recognized it from the play “Der kleine Ritter Trenk”, which was previously performed at Hohnsensee.
At the end of the day, everyone could warm up at the campfire, roast marshmallows and let the exciting day come to an end.
